US National Parks’ Appeal to People of Color: Come Visit!

National Parks Try to Appeal to Minorities

I found this New York Times article about people of color’s (minority in the US? Yes. Minority in the world? No.) use of US national parks interesting. I’ve only gone camping once (in The Outback) and it was a beautiful experience. That happened when I was twenty though and I didn’t appreciate (too much of) nature until I went abroad. Personally, I like not having access to wireless when I’m out in nature. It’s part of “the experience.” As far as a concert? I’m thinking no. Not everything has to be city living.

Thoughts?
