…to apply for an NEH teacher summer institute grant! I completed two of these (Latino Identity in New York and Stories of The Great Migration) and loved them both. They were some of the best professional development opportunities I ever received. Moreover, it was rejuvenating to commune with other educators over a specific topic and explore the city where the program was being hosted. If money may be a potential issue for applying, participants receive a stipend to help cover travel costs, housing, food, etc…
So, if interested, while decompressing over Winter Break start reaching out for recommendation letters and drafting essays!
I would apply myself but I’m not eligible while teaching outside of the United States.
